10 Best Decisions That WCW Ever Made

9. Not Being Afraid To Push Outside Talent

In classic WCW style, this one is a mix of the good and the bad. While WCW's insistence on favoring established talent over their own home-grown stars would be one of many nails in their coffin, its hard to argue against the company's idea to treat outside wrestling talent as valid contenders within the organization right away.

Just because you made your name elsewhere didn't mean that the WCW was going to resent you or try to repackage you in their own image. Instead, the name you made for yourself beyond Atlanta was actually of value. Through this philosophy, WCW would produce some of its greatest stars. This mindset was a drastic change of pace from the WWE mentality of the time that essentially stated: "If it didn't happen here, it didn't happen." Only over the past few years have we seen the world's largest wrestling company adopt a similar principle, even though the benefits of such an approach were made clear by WCW ages ago.
