10 Best Drew Gulak WWE Moments
6. For A Better 205 Live
It was clear that Drew Gulak had a very different wrestling ideology to some of his rostermates and this dated all the way back to the Cruiserweight Classic.
Whereas many of the wrestlers on the roster prided themselves on high risk, high flying and flashy moves, he preferred a more simple and traditional ground offence. This was always going to cause some tension when all these styles came together for 205 Live.
At the start of 2017, Gulak introduced a new gimmick in the form of his political campaign for a better 205 Live. Armed with a badge, catchy slogan and placard, the list included a more conservative no-fly zone, the banning of chanting and more simplistic ring-attire.
What started off as something seemingly light-hearted became a huge part of the show leading to some amazing feuds and matches with the likes of Akira Tozawa, Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali. It also captured the hearts of a lot of the WWE Universe who made their own signs and even bought merchandise.
For many, it was also one of the first major long-running storylines for the purple brand utilising different wrestlers and also heavily involving crowds.
