10 Best Endings In WWE Royal Rumble History

2. Ric Flair And Sid Justice (1992)

You would be hard-pressed to find a better Royal Rumble than 1992. With all the feuds that were furthered, what was at stake and what it later led to at WrestleMania VIII, it had everything a successful Rumble needs to stand out as special and be considered one for the ages.

Ric Flair's performance alone would make it so, coming in as the No. 3 entrant and lasting until the very end. When it came down to the final four, despite Flair being the dastardly villain, everyone was pulling for him to win. Hulk Hogan came close to clinching his third consecutive Rumble victory, but was thwarted by rival Sid Justice. Out of frustration of being eliminated, Hogan then aided Flair in victory, petulantly pulling Sid over the top rope to grant The Nature Boy the win and the vacant WWE Championship.

Flair may have had some assistance, but it was an emotional victory, nevertheless. He set a new record for lasting longer than anyone else in Rumble history and won the top title in one of his first few matches with the organization, which was unprecedented. It was only fitting that arguably the greatest Rumble match of all-time had such a powerful conclusion.
