10 Best European Wrestlers In WWE History
3. Sheamus
Over the last year or so, Sheamus' WWE career has taken something of a nose-dive, the pasty Irishman having been pushed into the tag team ranks as emerging stars from the independent scene rise up to the main event spot he once occupied. If it's any consolation, the Celtic Warrior has already carved out possibly the most prolific WWE career of any European performer before his 40th birthday.
After arriving on the main roster in 2009, Sheamus was almost instantly pushed towards the top of the card, claiming the WWE Championship in his maiden year with a clean victory over John Cena (no, that's not a misprint). Three more world title reigns, the 2010 King of the Ring tournament and a Royal Rumble win in 2012 make him one of the company's most decorated stars of the modern era. Not bad for a guy who used to work in IT.
