10 Best Ever TNA Knockouts

8. Taylor Wilde

Awesome Kong was the most dominant woman the Knockouts Division had ever seen. She was unbeatable...until Taylor Wilde took her down.

The young blonde started out as a plant in the crowd, who took on Kong for her weekly $25,000 challenge. She put up a great fight, but like all the others, she came up short. In the rematch she shocked the wrestling world by winning the money, and the Knockouts Title in her third match in the company.

It seemed that TNA wanted Wilde to be their version of Trish Stratus, but she was pushed too aggressively at first. The fans weren’t quite buying it. After dropping the title, Wilde went on to form a tag team with Sarita in a solid pairing. Together they became the first ever winners of the Knockouts Tag Titles. Taylor went on to capture them again with Hamada as a partner. She was growing as a wrestler, and seemed ready for a bigger push again.

However, in 2011, at the age of 25 she decided to retire out of nowhere. Unlike most wrestling retirements, this one has stuck; she hasn’t been in the ring since.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
