10 Best Ever TNA Knockouts

7. Tara

Not everyone that came to TNA from WWE has been a great signing. Actually, many of them were downright terrible investments. Tara is one of the exceptions to the rule. As Victoria in WWE, she was used very well initially in a hot feud with Trish Stratus. As time went on, she was used less and less, and finally announced she was retiring in early 2009. It was due to how unhappy she was with her decreasing role.

TNA got her out of retirement a few months later and put her to work. She debuted as a face and feuded with The Beautiful People. She also began carrying a tarantula with her, which was a thing for some reason. It was nice to see Tara given actual storylines and some decent time to wrestle in her matches. She was doing better work than we’d seen from her in years.

Things then got a bit wonky for her. Her last couple years in the company were odd, as she drove a motorcycle around with Madison Rayne, formed a tag team with Miss Tessmacher (TnT) and then joined The Bromans, in one of the most awful things Impact had going.

Still, she held the Knockouts title five times and got to have a few more great matches before calling it a career.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
