10 Best Feuds Of The Undertaker's WWE Career
1. Vs. Kane (1997 - 1998)
It's hard to imagine where The Undertaker's career would be today if the Kane storyline hadn't taken place. That's not to take away from the solid seven years he enjoyed before his Brother of Destruction showed up, but the feud that developed between the pair added another unique layer to the character's enticing personality, placing him in a position we had never seen before.
Everything about the program - from Kane's destructive debut to his constant mauling of his brother - was booked to perfection. For the first time, the Lord of Darkness seemed weak, broken and human as he refused to fight his own flesh and blood. And the six-month saga beautifully came together, setting up their inaugural battle at WrestleMania XIV and giving it the big-fight-feel it so rightly deserved.
WWE tried to recreate this magic with sequel feuds multiple times through the pair's careers and that highlights just how effective it was. Kane himself constantly refers to the Undertaker/Kane saga as 'the greatest piece of epic storytelling in WWE history' and he's not wrong. A feud for the ages, it single-handedly redefined 'The Phenom's career and kicked off his brother's with an unforgettable bang.
