10 Best Feuds Of The Undertaker's WWE Career

2. Vs. Shawn Michaels (2009 - 2010)

Undertaker Mankind In Your House: Revenge of The Taker
WWE

Shawn Michaels' quest to topple The Undertaker at WrestleMania was all about doing the impossible. It was in the tagline of their WrestleMania 25 altercation: 'Sometimes it's hell trying to get to Heaven'. And as Jim Ross so eloquently put it, it was heaven for those us who watched them try.

Their previous feuds in the late '90s may have been all about revenge, but this time, it was merely two legends putting it all on the line to reach even greater levels of immortality than you would think possible given their legendary careers. They somehow achieved it, turning in two classic battles at back-to-back WrestleManias that defied both high expectations and their combined age.

Their back-to-back programs were equally as compelling as Michaels, all while remaining a brave fan-favourite, wasn't afraid to resort to his vintage heel tactics to get under the skin of The Phenom... and it worked, placing doubts in all of our minds when it came to 'Taker's likelihood of successfully defending The Streak.

On both occasions, the long-time respect they had for each other was tried, tested, lost and ultimately regained as two excellent programs about risking it all for the ultimate reward framed two of the greatest matches in WWE history. You really couldn't ask for any more than that.
