10 Best Heel And Face Turns At WWE WrestleMania
2. Randy Savage - WrestleMania VII
Feuding with fellow Mega Power Hulk Hogan in the late '80s had made Randy Savage one of WWE's biggest heels, so much so that a huge section of the audience were pulling against him in his retirement bout with Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VII.
Fortunately, young wrestling fans of the kind The Macho Man was once loved by are nothing if not susceptible to emotional manipulation, and the sight of Miss Elizabeth - his former on-screen flame - looking concerned for his well-being in the crowd was enough to get them back on side.
Savage's first face turn in two years was formalised after Warrior had sealed his victory, when Elizabeth rushed into the ring to save him from a mean-spirited attack by Queen Sherri, the woman who was theoretically supposed to be supporting him at ringside.
There was plenty to regret about the future Hall of Famer's wrestling career, but this was one of its better moments. Prior to all that business with Hogan, Savage and Elizabeth were one of the great couples of the Golden Era, and their public reconciliation was a 'Mania moment if ever there was one.
