10 Best Heel Moments In WWE Raw History
7. "This Is My Yard Now"
It took Roman Reigns just five words to give us one of the best heel moments Monday Night Raw has ever seen, a feat made all the more impressive by the fact that, technically speaing, he was supposed to be as squeaky clean a baby-face as they come.
The context here, of course, is that this promo came just 24 hours after The Big Dog had unceremoniously brought the curtain down on the career of The Undertaker, one of the most beloved wrestlers ever to lace up a pair of boots.
In choosing Roman as the man to put The Deadman out of his misery - and, in effect, take over his "yard" - WWE was trying to communicate to fans that this, whatever reservations we may have had, was the guy to lead the company into a bold new era.
They must have been aware, to some extent, that this would see him booed - particularly on the post-WM edition of Raw, which is often more smark-heavy than usual - but nobody could have predicted the din that awaited him. It was a reaction of a kind you rarely see anywhere these days, let alone for a nominal face.
