10 Best Heel Turns In Wrestling History

9. Ric Flair Turns On Sting

It has long been joked that Sting is the stupidest man in wrestling because he's been turned on more times than anyone can count. He trusts people no one should trust and always ends up getting destroyed by the heels when he 'least expects' it.

Obviously, there's no one who should be trusted less than The Dirties Player in the Game, Ric Flair. In 1995, Flair was engaged in a rivalry with his best friend, Arn Anderson. The two had a match at Fall Brawl which Anderson won when Brian Pillman blasted Flair with a kick.

Flair seemed desperate for help so he turned to his longtime rival, Sting. Flair begged Stinger to be his partner against Anderson and Pillman, even bringing out a bunch of kids with Sting facepaint to convince him. Stupidly, Sting agreed.

On the night of the match (at Halloween Havoc), Flair was "attacked" backstage necessitating that Sting go it alone against Anderson and Pillman. The heels beatdown Sting for a long period of time until Flair charged the ring in street clothes with a huge bandage on his head and took his place on the apron. The heels cheated like crazy to keep Sting from tagging Flair and Ric made it better by cheering for Sting with all his heart.

Finally, Sting fought his way out of the heel corner and dragged his nearly lifeless body to his corner and managed to tag Ric Flair. If you can't guess what happens next, then you aren't a Ric Flair fan. Naturally, Flair instantly turned on Sting and the newly-reunited Four Horseman launched a massive beatdown on their longtime (and very stupid) rival.

The crowd reaction to this was absolutely priceless as they completely bought Flair as a babyface before he ripped their hearts out. That, my friends, is wrestling storytelling at its finest.
