10 Best Heels In Lucha Underground

2. Mil Muertes

Mil Muertes is one of the best heels in the entire business. There's evil in wrestling, like trying to steal your opponents wife, and then there's evil in wrestling like killing three men, then having them all come back to life, and then killing two of them again.

Muertes is played by Ricky Banderas, most well-known stateside as the former Judas Messias from TNA. While he was good in that role with his ongoing feud with Abyss, he's far better utilized as Muertes. He's a man that simply has no fear of death. It's questionable if he can even be killed.

Emerging from the destruction of an earthquake as a child, Muertes had stared death right in the face, and then made it his b***h. In The Temple, he's become nearly unstoppable and was the man to end Prince Puma's lengthy title reign. At the beginning of Season 2, Muertes pulled a Shao Khan from Mortal Kombat 2, and just sat above the audience staring out at all the competitors. Badass.

The former champ has now vanquished King Cuerno and looks set to get back in the title picture. While he's already had a couple of hellacious battles with Matanza, I wouldn't mind seeing quite a few more.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
