10 Best Heels In Lucha Underground

1. Dario Cueto

Authority figures are one of the absolute worst tropes in wrestling. They should all disappear for a minimum of the next 25 years.

Except that Dario Cueto is so damn good in the role you may suddenly think that authority figures are the greatest thing in the history of the business!

The man is in his own league when it comes to cutting promos and acting on camera. For two years running, he would easily walk away with the Best Actor On A Wrestling TV Show Award...if there was such a thing...which there should be!

Not only that, but his character is simply a blast to watch. He’s manipulative, evil, and capable of murder as we saw at the end of Season 2. But what makes him so interesting is the pieces we've learned of his backstory, as well as the overall mystery surrounding him. Every week we get to learn just a little bit more about him, only to realize there's so much more left to uncover.

We last left off with Dario being arrested, but that beautiful sinister grin of his let us know that he definitely has something up his sleeve...something that is likely quite evil. It would be pretty disappointing if it wasn't.

As long as Cueto has a role on Lucha Underground, the show will be worth watching simply for him alone.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
