10 Best Hulk Hogan Matches Ever

6. Vs. Stan Hansen (Wrestling Summit 1990)

Watching Hulk Hogan wrestle in Japan is like watching a comedic actor perform in darker, more serious dramas. Matches with The Great Muta, Masa Chono, Tatsumi Fujinami, and others in the 1990s and 2000s have demonstrated a different side of Hogan, one that would make any fan or detractor take notice.

Perhaps his most memorable match across the Pacific was a violent, no-BS brawl with Hansen at a WWE/New Japan/All Japan joint show shortly after WrestleMania 6. Hansen filled in on short notice after Terry Gordy backed out of the scheduled match, and the Plan B provided a glimpse of Hogan outside of his Americanized norm.

The match is filled with stiff strikes, Hogan slamming Hansen onto a table, and Hulk getting cut open after a chair shot. Hogan even goes old school, finishing Hansen off with an Axe Bomber lariat. If you've never seen it, and you only know of "Sports Entertainment" Hogan, give it a look - you'll be blown away.
