Jeff Hardy and Edge have faced off in many types of matches in many different years in many different circumstances, but their best one-on-one match came in the main event of Extreme Rules way back in 2009. Jeff had endured a tumultuous year to this point, having to battle his own flesh and blood in a variety of violent matches, as well as dealing with all manner of very real personal issues.

This match wasn't a technical classic or anything, but nobody wanted (or expected) it to be. The audience wanted two men falling off and through things, and that is exactly what they go. Jeff's body will give up on him one day, and these matches are the ones that will be pinpointed as the moments why.

From a pure entertainment point of view, mind, this is fantastic. In something of a callback to their most famous spot at WrestleMania X-Seven, Edge flings himself off a ladder adjacent to Hardy looking for a Spear, only to find a Twist of Fate in mid-air instead.

Hardy picks up the win, but a few moments later CM Punk made his way out from the back to ruin it all...
