8. Intercontinental Title Ladder Match - WrestleMania 31
WWE.comAfter a multi-year break, the multi-man ladder match finally returned to WrestleMania last year, as Bad News Barrett was forced to put his Intercontinental Title on the line against Luke Harper, Dean Ambrose, Stardust, R-Truth, Dolph Ziggler, and Daniel Bryan. With WWE being a little bit more conscious about the health of their wrestlers, the amount of highspots in this match was pretty tame compared to the ladder matches of years past. Dean Ambrose didn't seem to get the memo, however, taking a bunch of high spots, including a powerbomb through a ladder on the outside which may have legitimately knocked him out. The ending was a feel-good moment as Daniel Bryan opened WrestleMania 31 the same way he closed WrestleMania XXX by taking the strap. Unfortunately, he wouldn't get to have a real reign with it, as he suffered a career-ending concussion a couple weeks later.
