In WWE, we get upset when Vince or Stephanie McMahon force one of our heroes to compete in a handicap match, or when they screw someone out of a title opportunity. In Lucha Underground, their authority figure will feed the people he doesn’t like to his brother.
The Crew was a stable who worked for Temple owner Dario Cueto. But as his personal henchmen, they weren’t all that effective. They were the Putty Patrol of professional wrestling, and were destined to always come up short. Cueto was understandably not thrilled with their work, and instead of dismissing them, or giving them a stern talking to, he let Matanza get his hands on Bael, who appeared to have his face ripped off.
Murder may not work for everyone in professional wrestling, but in the world of Lucha Underground it fits surprisingly well, and leaves you not having any idea on what the hell the company will do next.
