10 Best Matt Riddle Wrestling Matches You Must See

9. Vs. Mark Haskins (PROGRESS: Hello Wembley)

Riddle opened the largest European independent wrestling show in recent history when 4,750 fans packed into Wembley Arena, London.

It marked his final independent wrestling show appearance before joining NXT. Riddle literally fist bumped every outstretched hand on his way to the ring, dished out hugs and posed for selfies. It demonstrated Riddle's immense popularity, as he was arguably the most over competitor on the whole show.

He then took on Mark Haskins in an evenly matched bout.

With Haskins now signed with ROH, this is a match we might not get to see again, which makes it feel extra special. Haskins has a largely submission and MMA based offence which made him a perfect match for Riddle.

Pitting Riddle against a foe with a similar move set helped reflect how his repertoire is more diverse than some may think. It’s a rare Riddle match which involves a decent amount of time on the outside.

We also saw Riddle’s talents as a sports entertainer when he encouraged thousands of people to sing before forcing them to go completely silent to help sell his kicks to Haskins.
