2. The Crowd Gets Firmly Behind The Show Off
wwe.comAs any long time wrestling fan will tell you, it always fun to watch when a crowd doesn't necessarily see things the same way the company do and follow their own script. It happened with Daniel Bryan and when the WWE could no longer ignore the mass outcry for the Yes Movement, Bryan got his shot at glory and became champion on the biggest stage there is. Anybody that saw the Money In The Bank ladder match could easily predict the same thing for Dolph Ziggler. Long underappreciated by the bookers, Ziggler was clearly only inserted into the match because of his incredible ability to make other guys look like a million dollars. But the crowd had other ideas. The bell had barely rang for the start of the match when the chants broke out: "WE WANT ZIGGLER! WE WANT ZIGGLER!" Increasingly frustrated with a creative team who just aren't listening, the Boston wrestling faithful let their voices be heard. Whilst they were still invested in the Ambrose/Rollins storyline, as both men deserve, the pop whenever Ziggler got within reaching distance of that elusive briefcase was particularly audible. The first time Ziggler won the briefcase and cashed it in against a stricken Alberto Del Rio the night after Wrestlemania 29, the crowd became unglued. It was the highest point of Ziggler's career so far and a testament to his work ethic and the scores of fans he has earned. With that in mind, it was great to hear him get that main event recognition once again. If the WWE have their finger on the pulse, they'll know that putting Ziggler in the title picture sooner rather than later might just be good for business.
