"Will I emerge with both the WWE championship and AJ's heart? Yes."

That quote above was by Daniel Bryan when he was interviewed by Josh Matthews on the pre-show of the 2012 edition of Money in the Bank. Hopefully it's enough to set the stage.

Watching CM Punk defend his WWE Championship against Daniel Bryan in a no DQ match is as good as it would be expected to be. Bryan stretched Punk and was brutal with his kicks. The action was believable like a major title match should be.

One spot that stood out was when Punk partially broke free of a Surfboad submission by Bryan. He grabbed a nearby Kendo stick with the half of his body that was able and wailed on Bryan until he gave up the rest his body.

The AJ love triangle actually added an entertaining element to this match. She would interfere when both men attempted weapon use and seemed torn about the damage they inflicted on each other by the conclusion.

Punk was finally able to put Bryan away after belly to back suplexing him off the ropes and through a table.

This match was an all around pleasure to watch as a fan and only came in second on this list because of another classic that CM Punk would compete in one year before.
