All wars start with a single shot, and on May 27th, 1996, Hall fired the first one in the nWo's battle against WCW.

During what would have been a forgettable Steve Doll vs. The Mauler match, the fans started rustling as a large man in a jean jacket made his way through the crowd. They started to recognize who this invader was, and yet no one could believe it was Razor Ramon.

He hopped the guardrail, demanded a microphone and said the infamous first lines of what would start a revolution “You people know who I am. But you don’t know why I’m here.” He ran down the promotion as the announcers struggled to make sense of what they were watching. It was a huge buzz generating moment, and was only a slice of the greatness that was to come.

Hall ended the promo with “You want a war? You’re going to get one.” Little did WCW know just big things were going to get.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
