10 Best Opponents For Daniel Bryan At WWE WrestleMania 35
Who should get the opportunity to go one-on-one with the New Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania?
Although his heel turn was initially met with some skepticism, fans have realized quickly that "The New" Daniel Bryan is pure fire. From consistently cutting the best promos week-to-week, to finally unleashing the in-ring creativity that was denied to him during his "Yes, Yes" post-return honeymoon period, Bryan has shown why, for almost three years, his absence was sorely missed.
So now, as WWE Champion, on one of his best heel runs ever, it's only right that he have a WrestleMania opponent who is worthy to stand toe-to-toe with him. While his match likely won't overshadow the Becky-Charlotte-Ronda main event, or even Lesnar-Rollins, Bryan's match at WrestleMania should, if nothing else, be just as prestigious and looked forward to.
Of course, this article is going in with the assumption that Bryan retains his title at Elimination Chamber. Given they just made the fancy hemp belt for Bryan, and how they're now at this point like six weeks from WrestleMania, we're willing to bet the WWE title won't change hands, and that Daniel Bryan goes into WrestleMania as the champ.
In that case: who should his dance partner be?
10. Andrade
Oh, Andrade. WWE's big "will they or won't they?"
The jury's still out on the former "Cien" Almas' move from NXT to main roster. He hasn't exactly been an inconsequential jobber, and in fact, has had some of the best matches on SmackDown television over the last few months. However, he's yet to have an actual PPV program, and he's taken a fair share of losses against major established stars on seemingly random SmackDowns. Yet, according to many reports, WWE see high potential in him, perhaps as Rey Mysterio's successor as the company's next top Mexican star.
On that basis, it seems a simple case of not knowing how to elegantly transition him from just another guy on TV to a bonafide main-eventer. My advice? Screw elegance, and just go whole hog. Put Andrade against Daniel Bryan for the WWE title at WrestleMania.
Granted, at this moment in time, Andrade is still technically an arrogant heel bullying poor Rey Mysterio, but if WWE knows anything, they'd know that heel and face turns are so easy in today's climate. Modern fans don't really care about the designated 'good' and 'bad' guy, they just wanna see really good matches. Daniel Bryan vs. Andrade at WrestleMania? You know that's gonna be amazing. You want Andrade to be the face? Hey, to WWE fans, with Bryan's recent heel work, that won't be a problem whatsoever.
