10 Best Opponents For Daniel Bryan At WWE WrestleMania 35
4. AJ Styles
Despite how great "The New" Daniel Bryan has been on top, it's still weird to think AJ Styles isn't WWE Champion anymore. With his second reign lasting for a year and change, The Phenomenal One was one of the few consistent, fort-holding factors throughout months of shaky WWE creative. Combined with the rest of his time served as one of WWE's best main-eventers, it's clear AJ's earned his spot among the top of the company's pecking order.
So regardless of what happens with the WWE Champion at WrestleMania, things will feel a little off if AJ isn't involved in some capacity. Granted, I'm all about keeping things fresh, especially at big shows, but it just wouldn't feel right to relegate AJ to some inconsequential program for WrestleMania when he's been more-or-less "the guy" on SmackDown for years now.
In addition, the matches AJ and Bryan have had over the last few months have been incredible, but whether through the handicaps of free television or the questionable booking on PPV, none of them have been able to reach the status of 'truly great.' Maybe with the stage of WrestleMania, the two would be able to strip away all the malarkey and have the true dream match fans have always wanted.
