WWE gave us A.J. Styles vs. John Cena in 2016, which is a match we thought we’d never see. Now we deserve Cena vs. Samoa Joe.

Just like Styles, much of Joe’s identity comes from his run in TNA. When he was positioned on top of the company, a match with him against Cena was a dream in man fans’ minds. Now it's an actual possibility. While both have slowed down a touch in the ring, they’ve turned into smarter workers who remain near the top of their respective brands.

Seeing them in the same ring at all would be an incredible visual, and would create a compelling “WrestleMania moment” that would surely end up in video packages well into the future.

Joe has proven that be can get over in every company he’s appeared in, and there’s no reason to doubt that he couldn’t become a top star on the main roster. He's also an important player for WWE's future, as they are badly hurting for heels.

When the Samoan Submission Machine is ready to be called-up (which should have happened long ago), they shouldn’t waste any time in positioning him as a massive star. A huge Mania match with Cena would be the way to accomplish that pressing matter, and would finally let us witness two of the best of this generation locking horns for the first time ever. Dream matches like that are what WrestleMania is all about.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
