10 Best Options To Be WWE's Next Top Guy
1. Seth Rollins
This article has been a fun bit of speculation about the possible futures of guys in and out of WWE. But frankly, when it comes to this immediate power vacuum in the aftermath of Roman's terrible announcement, only one name logically stands out as the guy to pick up the ball and run with it with the most success.
After a tepid year or-so following his return from knee surgery, Seth Rollins has had an in-ring renaissance. The Architect has established himself as one of the company's most valuable assets in terms of putting on must-see matches. Plus, he's finally found his groove as a babyface, and before he was sidetracked by the Shield reunion, no one was as red-hot as him. He was finally the top-tier babyface everyone knew he could be during his championship heel run in 2015.
From a real-life and storyline standpoint, all the stars have aligned for Rollins to once again be on that warpath to the top. His best friend Reigns has lost the title due to a terrible illness, and his other best friend Ambrose has betrayed him. Seth is now the most sympathetic character in the company. Just as Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin nearly lost their careers in 1995 and 1997 just before their ascensions, Seth has that same kind of drama that will have the people totally invested in him.
Needless to say, if the plans right now are not for Seth to win the Royal Rumble, capture the title at WrestleMania, and for WWE to begin the Era of the Architect, they are the biggest fools imaginable.
