10 Best Picks For New WWE Raw & Smackdown General Managers

2. Raw - Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff was born to play a heel authority figure, and he did it expertly in WCW. Thankfully, Vince McMahon recognised his talent and snatched him up in the early days of the brand split, making him the GM of Raw. He held that title longer than anybody else, and when all was said and done, he was easily the second-best heel boss in company history, behind only McMahon himself.

Bischoff helped give Raw an identity, making it feel almost like a cross between WWE as fans knew it and the WCW over which Bischoff presided. The unctuous megalomaniac was brilliant in his role, always seeking to outdo Smackdown's leadership - from Stephanie McMahon to Teddy Long.

Bischoff could easily reprise his role as Raw's General Manager, and while his former feud with Stephanie McMahon may make working for her awkward, it would be no different than when Vince hired him in the first place. Together, he and Stephanie would make life tough for Raw's superstars, and it would be very entertaining for the viewers.
