10 Best Picks For New WWE Raw & Smackdown General Managers

3. Smackdown - Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels's second tenure in WWE took place entirely during the original brand split, and he was one of the stars who never changed shows. From 2002 to 2010, Michaels was a member of the Raw roster, and the reason for that was simple - he was part of a church group that met every Tuesday evening, preventing him from working Smackdown.

It's quite possible that Michaels's schedule would still prevent him from working Smackdown, but if things have changed, he'd make a great General Manager for the blue brand. Fans love "The Heartbreak Kid," they trust him, and he's genuinely endearing. That makes him a great choice to partner with Shane McMahon to make Smackdown a unique environment.

Just imagine Michaels dealing with AJ Styles, who's rumoured to be the top heel on the new Smackdown brand. Even without a blowoff match, their interplay would be well worth watching.

Michaels was once WWE Commissioner, though it was during the hectic days of the Attitude Era (and the hectic days of Michaels' unraveling personal life) and his tenure wasn't long. This time, he's sure to knock it out of the park.
