10 Best Pipebombs In Wrestling History
3. Paul Heyman - 12 June 2005
While ECW One Night Stand 2006 was a way to bring the Land of Extreme into the WWE fold, the first incarnation of the show was truly about the fans of the original hardcore company. Featuring matchups of ECW legends, the cherry on top of the evening was right before the main event, when longtime ECW promoter Paul Heyman took the ring.
After thanking the many people who made ECW possible, chief among them being the fans, Paul E. Dangerously turned to the WWE contingent up in the rafters of the ECW Arena. Starting off by mocking Eric Bischoff for being forced to join WWE and sit through an ECW pay-per-view, Paul E. reminded his rival whose house they were in. The future Wise Man of The Bloodline then mocked Edge for his real-life issues with Lita and Matt Hardy, even mentioning Hardy by name despite him being fired by WWE at the time.
The highlight of the promo was his final insult, hurled at John Bradshaw Layfield, who had in recent times criticized both Paul Heyman and the ECW brand as a whole. Telling the shoot Cowboy, "the only reason you were WWE Champion for a year is because Triple H didn't want to work Tuesdays".
The scathing promo ended in the best way possible, with Paul Heyman telling the audience, that this was not WCW, Raw or SmackDown, but E C F**cking W!
