7. Glacier - Mortal Kombat

Stardust Mr. Sinister
WCW

In 1997, WCW introduced several new characters designed to capitalize on the popularity of the Mortal Kombat video games series. Bryan Clark was Wrath, Chris Kanyon was the masked Mortis, and Ray Lloyd was brought in as Glacier, a clear analog of the Sub-Zero character. WCW invested a small fortune in Lloyd's costume and snow-filled ring entrance, but of course, it was wasted money. Glacier didn't get over, and only Kanyon had the talent to eventually become a star.

Toward the beginning of 2001, WCW resurrected the Glacier character - this time, as a self-aggrandizing parody of the character he had played earlier. While this portrayal was more amusing, it also never went anywhere in the long run. Nevertheless, the costume is remembered as visually impressive, if a sign of WCW's excesses and poor spending.
