7. Mankind's Debut (1996)
If you start listing down the wrestlers who helped Vince McMahon win the Monday Night Wars, there's a good chance Mick Foley will be in the top three. As well as being one of the most prominent stars of the entire Attitude Era, it was his maiden title victory in '99 that secured one of the company's biggest ratings victories.
For this reason, the debut of Mankind - arguably his best and most enduring guise - in 1996 has to go down as one of the most significant moments in the history of post-WrestleMania Raws. Without it, who knows where we would be right now?
On the night, Foley beat Bob Holly in a bog-standard singles bout, a conventional start to a hugely unconventional run. There was nothing special about the match, but the character we were seeing was irresistibly intriguing.
It proved so intriguing, in fact, that Mankind was able to instantly step into feuds with the likes of Undertaker and Shawn Michaels over the coming months, narrowly missing out on winning the WWE Title in September of the same year. And it all started here.
