Shawn Michaels is sad

Much like Brock, Ric Flair's first WWE run was also a massive success. The Nature Boy won the WWF title twice between 1991 and 1993 and his win in the 1992 Royal Rumble is now the stuff of legend.

However, Flair was only in the company for just over a year before he returned to WCW for the better part of a decade. After that company folded, the winners of the Monday Night War were keen to bring the Nature Boy back in.

Ric made his return in grand fashion, revealing himself as the WWF's new co-owner in ear-pulling fashion. Flair would follow this up with a string of good matches, his time in Evolution, and would eventually retire in dramatic fashion against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania.

And he never wrestled again...

Though he never reclaimed the World Title, Flair arguably had a greater quantity of memorable moments during his second period working for Vince. Despite being beyond his physical prime, Naitch proved in this run that he was still as entertaining as ever and that he could still go in the ring if he had to, despite his advanced age.
