10 Best Second Runs In WWE History
5. Jeff Hardy (2006 - 2009)
Jeff Hardy's career has been dogged with controversy for decades, but its important to remember that, at one point, he was one of the most popular babyfaces in the world.
This would never have happened had Jeff not left the WWE in 2003 and eventually wound up in TNA. He had been a singles guy in the last couple of years of his first WWE run, but he was pushed as a top guy for the first time in TNA, challenging for the World Title on numerous occasions and having high profile feuds with likes of Abyss, Rhino, and Sabu.
All this paved the way for Jeff's return to WWE in 2006 and a run that would see him finally ascend to the upper echelons of the company. He won three World Championships during this time and participated in some truly epic matches, not least his legendary feud with CM Punk.
From 1998 to 2003, Jeff was one of the most popular tag team and midcard wrestlers in WWE. However, when he returned to the company after his time in TNA, he was a bona fide main eventer and hasn't been seen as anything less ever since.
