This was by far the better of Shane's two matches against the 'Big Red Machine'. In fact, it would have made a far better conclusion to the feud, which began when Kane dropped Linda on her head, since both men actually seemed intent of putting the other on the shelf.

From the moment you saw the Unforgiven set at the beginning of the show, you could have probably predicted that Shane was going to be flying off it - yet it was still somehow shocking to see him do almost exactly the same thing that nearly killed him at Backlash three years earlier.

Kane, playing possum at the bottom, rolled out of the way and then let the referee count 10 to seal his victory, which was probably the least Shane deserved after drop-kicking him into a flaming dumpster.
