10 Best Simultaneous WWE Heavyweight Champions

6. CM Punk (WWE) & Christian (World) - 2011

A tale of two wrestlers Vince McMahon very apparently never loved, the period in which CM Punk and Christian both held his top titles was one most fans had to fully appreciate as it happened. They were taught that lesson just two days into 'Captain Charisma's original run with the gold.

When Randy Orton defeated the perennial midcarder two days after he'd claimed the prize against Alberto Del Rio, the seeds had been sown for Christian to abandon his morals and cheat his way back to the top. He'd found success making the world a dirtier place - it was time to go back to what he knew. Punk, meanwhile, was changing everything else on his own terms.

On a seminal night for the 'Straight Edge Superstar' and the promotion in general, Punk and Christian struck gold on their own terms. The former by toppling John Cena and the machine at Money In The Bank 2011. Christian spat in Randy's face to trigger a disqualification in a match that already favoured him.

Christian - this Christian, the heel of old elevated by virtue of his feud with 'The Viper', had every right to stake his own claim as the 'Best In The World'. One of Punk's more famous contemporaries had done that already, too...
