Currently enjoying a successful tag team run alongside Charlotte Flair, WWE's Alexa Bliss has confirmed that her Dark Alexa character is officially retired.

Responding to a fan in a Cameo video, Bliss said how much that darker side meant to her, how special that chapter was, but that, out of respect to Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Sicks, she intends to "keep that version of myself exactly where it is", which is "retired and untouched".

Of course, Alexa Bliss embraced her darker side - referred to by fans as Dark Alexa - once she joined forces with Bray Wyatt in 2020, playing a pivotal role in the Fiend's rivalries with the likes of Randy Orton and Braun Strowman. Bliss would continue with a version of this character through until the Royal Rumble 2023, after which she'd be absent from WWE programming for two years, returning at the 2025 Royal Rumble.

Tragically, Bray Wyatt - Windham Rotunda - passed away in August 2023, and, as Alexa noted, she's currently keeping that Dark Alexa persona retired out of respect to Bray and his family.

As mentioned, Bliss would return to a mammoth reaction as a surprise entrant in the women's Royal Rumble in 2025. Shortly after WrestleMania 41, she'd start approaching Charlotte Flair about forming a tag team, with the two initially striking up a 'reluctant partners' team, at least on Flair's behalf. That tandem would eventually win the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles at that year's SummerSlam, defeating Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez and holding the gold for 100 days.

Most recently, Alexa and Charlotte were involved in the fatal four-way match for those Women's Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 42.
