3. The New Daniel Bryan (WWE) & Brock Lesnar (Universal) - 2018

Saviour and sinner respectively, Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar seemingly served entirely different purposes as they strode into Survivor Series 2018 with their respective brand's belts, but came away from a main event thriller enhancing the stature of both.

Bryan had shocked the world just days earlier with a victory over AJ Styles just over a year after the 'Phenomenal One' had done the same thing to Jinder Mahal. 371 days before Bryan hoofed AJ in the balls, reimagined a Survivor Series main event and liberated the title in the process, Styles was doing it in slightly cleaner fashion against the 'Modern Day Maharaja'. It had been a draining year for both men, but the 'YES Man's sharp turn reignited his return and crafted another Blue vs. Red dream match in the process.

'The Beast' entered into the spirit of things against Bryan, giving him endless offence before escaping with a win rather than powerfully procuring it. It triggered the worker within, too - Brock put forth a similar battle with Finn Bálor as Bryan literally binned his own belt for a hemp rebadge on the blue brand.

WrestleMania beckoned to take them both down on the same night, giving both the glorious ending their reigns deserved.
