10 Best Split-Brand Pay-Per-Views In WWE History
7. One Night Stand 2005 (ECW)
Even though ECW wasn't revived as a brand until 2006, it returned to pay-per-view the previous year with One Night Stand, a card that easily stands as the best wrestling reunion show ever.
Though there weren't any great matches at the event - with the exception of a brutal Mike Awesome-Masato Tanaka brawl that reminded everybody just how great the two men were - the show remained wonderfully true to the ECW brand. Even though many of the stars on the show had gone on to become regular members of the WWE roster, they wrestled and presented themselves like it was the old days.
WWE also pulled in several stars from the original ECW who weren't part of the WWE roster, from Sabu to Super Crazy. In addition to all that, ECW owner Paul Heyman cut the promo of the year, verbally crucifying JBL and the contingent of WWE wrestlers present in the name of "EC-F*cking-W". All in all, the show went down in history as a classic.
