Sport: Amateur wrestling Gimmick: The Man Who Won An Olympic Gold Medal With A "Broken Friggen Neck" The Olympic Gold Medalist. That is all that needs to be said. Kurt Angle was a true American hero, he won a gold medal in 1996 mere months after fracturing 2 vertebrae, and herniating 2 discs. He had Intensity, Integrity, and Intelligence, how could anybody hate the man? Initially, nobody could hate him, but after weeks of patronizing the fans, and whining about a loss to Tazz for using an illegal choke hold, people started to turn. Angel didn't seem to realize why people started to turn, but continued with his pompous attitude. Angle's success came quickly, and he held the Intercontinental and European championship at the same time, proclaiming himself as the "Eurocontinental Champion," within one year of his debut. He continued to climb the ladder, and evolve his character, he showed that he can be taken very seriously, but also had a comedic side too. Angle has held nearly every possible major championship in wrestling, in both the WWE and TNA. He even won WCW championships during the 2001 invasion storyline. Angle is not only the most famous "Sport Star" gimmick, but he is also the most accomplished, and a greatly revered superstar in wrestling, both amateur and professional.
Brandon Tischer is an avid wrestling fan who has been watching since he was a kid. He, along with his friends, have made a pact to never miss a Wrestlemania together.
