10 Best Stables In Wrestling Right Now
1. The Inner Circle
The only two slights against The Inner Circle are that they don't have any gold at the moment and often slip into goofy comedy where a more serious tone would be appropriate. That's it, and the comedy thing isn't even a huge problem - because they're tremendous at it.
As for success? Jericho is the 'Demo God' and still AEW's most recognisable wrestler. He remains a bigger name than the promotion, even, and his gang of right-hand men benefit immensely from being around him. Sammy Guevara's grooming as AEW's next breakout heel shall continue once his suspension is over and he returns to television.
The Inner Circle's greatest strength is that each has a role to play. Jericho is the ageing rockstar leader who has assembled an army of rascals to do his bidding and eat his sh*t for him, planting seeds for a potential split years from now. Jake Hager, who hasn't gotten over, is the enforcer. Guevara, meanwhile, is the hand-picked prodigy with lots left to learn, while Santana and Ortiz play rough-housing henchmen.
There's still lots of ground still to tread, too, as Ortiz and Santana haven't yet come close to winning the Tag Team Titles, Guevara is a singles star in the making, and Jericho remains amongst wrestling's most effective builders. Their reign shall last a long time.
