There was some concern over AEW's decision to sign Orange Cassidy as part of its initial roster in 2019, as the gimmick was perceived as being too irreverent for mainstream audiences. This concern was almost immediately dissuaded as Cassidy quickly became one of the fan favorites in AEW even when he was not wrestling all that often.

In fact, Orange did not compete in a singles match for AEW until Revolution 2020 when he faced the complete antithesis of himself in 'The Bastard' PAC. The pairing was successful before they even entered the ring, but the match lived up to the greatest expectations of how the diametrically opposed wrestlers would interact.

The match was incredibly entertaining but also valuable in that it demonstrated how Cassidy could easily be a part of AEW. Orange would go on to have a very featured role in the company throughout 2020, including a feud that he won against Chris Jericho. Further matches that he has had with PAC, Kenny Omega, and more recently Will Ospreay have proven that not only does 'Freshly Squeezed' belong in AEW but also in the main event.
