10 Best Stretcher Matches In WWE History

2. Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy (SmackDown; April 10, 2009)

At the 2009 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Matt Hardy looked to being aiding his brother Jeff to victory against Edge, but instead betrayed him by slamming a steel chair over his skull. The two engaged in a very personal, dark feud from that point forward, culminating in an Extreme Rules match at WrestleMania 25. To the surprise of many, Matt emerged victorious after delivering a Twist of Fate to Jeff through a steel chair. That wasn't all, though, as a rematch between the two was made for the subsequent edition of SmackDown five days later. This time, however, it would be in a Stretcher match. As good of a match that the brothers had on The Grandest Stage of Them All, they managed to have an even better match that Friday night on SmackDown. The momentum shifted between Matt and Jeff and it was unclear as to who would walk out a winner, the other stretched out a loser. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyPHqAXFQz8 Matt Hardy, once again using his cunning skills, dodged a Swanton Bomb from Jeff, wheeling the former WWE champion up the ramp to boost his record to 2-0 over his brother. As entertaining as the action was, it was the feud leading up to it that made this a must-see match and how it was only fitting of such a stipulation. The feud would carry on until Backlash, but this was arguably their best bout together.
