8. Brain Busters - Spike Piledriver

The piledriver is no longer a legal move in World Wrestling Entertainment, which makes it pretty darn clear that the spike version isn't going to be seen any time soon.

Used by the Brain Busters during their all-too-brief run in the World Wrestling Federation, the move is exactly what it sounds like it is.

Well, that's it. It's a piledriver, only with added accentuation by the tag partner coming off the turnbuckles and driving your feet down. In the most simple of terms, it is like two men combining to drive the top of your head directly into the floor, and I sincerely doubt it's a pleasant experience.

Bizarrely, here's a video of Triple H and The Sultan (Rikishi) delivering the move to poor Goldust.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
