Some view them as the WWF's attempt to create a Road Warriors-esque team, but that generally means that Demolition don't get the respect they deserve when the history of tag team wrestling is discussed.

They could be extremely popular or rabidly despised, depending on which role they were required to play at any given time.

Their rough and tough style wasn't without its tactical nous however, and their finishing manoeuvre was a thing of elegance. It was a combination backbreaker/elbow drop, putting all sorts of pressure on the back of the poor sod in position to take the move.

It was the shot that made them the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in WWF history.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
