It's been said that Billy Gunn and the Road Dogg were only put together in a tag-team because the WWF creative team had nothing else for them. In essence, this was one last roll of the dice for both men, to see if they could become valuable additions to the roster or else they faced the chop.

As The New Age Outlaws, the pair didn't just achieve that goal, they smashed it and became the tag-team of the late 1990's. At WrestleMania XIV, they faced Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie, the latter character played by the evergreen Terry Funk.

It ended up being absolute carnage, but in a good way.

The stipulation of the match called for one team to place their opponents inside a dumpster to win. Bouts such as this are rarely seen nowadays, and they were much more at home during the dizzying 'Attitude Era'.

That's a shame, because there's something oddly poetic about putting a fierce rival in a nearby bin.

Fans were delighted when Cactus and Chainsaw emerged victorious, although spirits were dampened when they promptly lost the belts back to The Outlaws on Raw. At least the match was good, with the 'Middle Aged and Crazy' Funker taking some hellacious bumps on the grandest stage of them all.
