7. The Rockers Vs. The Barbarian & Haku ('Mania VII)

By the time WrestleMania VII rolled around, The Rockers were on their second chance in the World Wrestling Federation. The reputations of Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty had preceded them, and Vince McMahon was keen to impress on the young wrestlers that he wouldn't put up with any trouble.

In 1987, the duo had actually been fired by the company, but by 1991 they were very much firm fixtures of the tag-team scene. Fans loved the tandem, but some likely felt their WrestleMania VII opening match against The Barbarian and Haku wouldn't be anything too special, given the supposed limitations of the opposition.

After the match had ended, nobody was questioning the abilities of anyone involved any longer. The Rockers vs. Barbarian and Haku was a rip-roaring success, and deserves to be recognised as one of the best straight-up tag matches in WrestleMania history.

There was a nice dynamic to the match, the smaller size of The Rockers contrasting well with the brute strength of their burly foes.
