10 Best Tag-Team Matches In WrestleMania History

3. Evolution Vs. The Rock N' Sock Connection ('Mania XX)

Towards the tail end of the 1990's, The Rock and Mankind formed a duo known, rather humorously, as the 'Rock N' Sock Connection'. There was something endearing about the tag-team and they were a big hit with audiences.

So much so that WWE decided to revive it in time for WrestleMania XX in 2004.

The Rock would once again team with Mick Foley to face the threat of Evolution in a handicap situation. Randy Orton, Batista and Ric Flair made up the heel side, giving the bout a little fantasy magic upon seeing the Nature Boy tangle with someone like The Rock.

The match didn't disappoint, even on a card as stacked with star power as 'Mania XX.

It was genuinely cool to see emerging stars like Orton and Batista in there with the established names, making for one very interesting mix indeed. Similarly, seeing The Rock and Foley team together one last time just gave the match a buzz which helped it motor along nicely, the crowd never losing interest and enjoying it every step of the way.

Best of all, the heels were made to look dominant, showing The Rock and Foley's ability to acknowledge and cater to what WWE required at that specific time. Selfless stuff from two all-time greats.
