2. Triangle Ladder Match ('Mania 2000)
Before the No Mercy pay-per-view in October, 1999, tag-team wrestling in the WWF had reached the point of stagnation once again.
A fresh injection of talent was required, and that was ably provided by The Dudley Boyz, The Hardy Boys and the team of Edge and Christian. Following on from a remarkable Ladder Match featuring the latter two teams, The Dudleyz were added to the mix in time for WrestleMania 2000.
'Mania 2000 was a fairly drab and uneven card overall, so the situation was ripe for someone to come along and steal the show. That's exactly what this particular trio of teams managed to do, producing one hell of a Triangle Ladder Match for the WWF Tag-Team Titles that stood out as the definite match of the night and one of the matches of the year.
WWF fans had never witnessed this kind of chaos before, and it wasn't yet clear that things would only be amplified going forward. Big bumps aplenty and reckless daredevil antics heightened the need for much more.
