10 Best Thrown Together WWE Tag Teams
2. Kane & X-Pac
OK, this is the third team to feature Kane that has made it onto this list. If you didn't know any better, you'd almost be tempted to say the WWE creative team have never really known what to do with their Big Red Machine.
But, to be fair, Kane's alliance with X-Pac in 1999 wasn't just a random coming together. It seemed, instead, to be informed by a push for him to move away from the dark and brooding character he had debuted with a couple of years earlier.
Next to the colourful D-Generation X member, he began performing comedy skits backstage, flirting with various women in the WWE locker room (most notably Tori - briefly his "girlfriend") and even, on occasion, having a go on the microphone.
When they weren't rewriting the wrestling rule book, the pair also managed to get their hands on the World Tag Team Championship, first winning it from Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart in March before getting a second run, this time of just two weeks, when they beat The Acolytes six months later.
