10 Best Times Wrestlers Kept Kayfabe Outside Of Wrestling
8. Bray Wyatt - Twitter And Radio
Social media definitely has the tendency to sabotage some wrestlers' attempts to keep up kayfabe.
For example, if a monster heel is hell bent on destroying every star in sight whenever they step inside a ring, they probably shouldn't be caught posing for photos with their nemesis in Rome - looking at you Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns.
Yet, sometimes the likes of Twitter and Instagram can be quite useful in terms of furthering a narrative.
Bray Wyatt has always been fond of using Twitter as a way of doing exactly this. Ever since re-announcing himself as the Kid's TV Show Presenter/Fiend version we know today, he's incorporated the platform as a constant tool to drum up attention for his programmes against the likes of Daniel Bryan and more recently John Cena.
Cryptic riddles and a running commentary on the will/intentions of both of Wyatt's personalities have become ever present on his Twitter feed. Also, Wyatt's ability to play both characters at any time of his choosing means that he can now play the fun child-friendly personality on radio shows (as seen above) before morphing into 'The Fiend' to disembowel his prey in the ring.
Wyatt expertly uses his social media accounts to deliver his compelling verbiage to whoever is wise enough to give him a follow and it's always intriguing to see what will land on his account next.
His most recent post read:
'If WrestleMania gets delayed The FIEND hereby challenges @JohnCena to a Bar Fight Deathmatch™️. This will take place at @Hooters.
Not kidding.'
True to bizarre form, Wyatt just keeps delivering gold with either a live mic or a smart phone in the grips of his leather gloves.
