6. Kurt Angle - King Of The Ring 2001

Though the midcard comedy stable of Team RECK is mostly forgotten today, it still holds an impressive distinction: no other stable has ever completely dominated a King of the Ring bracket like they did. Rhyno, Edge, Christian and Kurt Angle were the semifinalists, guaranteeing a king that reeked of awesomeness. Edge beat Rhyno to advance, while Angle defeated Christian.

Edge and Kurt Angle would go on to have a series of matches much better than this one, but their chemistry is evident even in the early stages of their rivalry. Angle had Edge beaten with an ankle lock, but Shane McMahon appeared to distract the referee, allowing Edge to escape and plant the Olympian with an Edgecution.

Edge won the match (and crown), but Kurt Angle would go on to have another match, a street fight with Shane McMahon. Yes, the match from the “don't try this at home” video.

Shane McMahon matches are a special kind of crazy, and this one was no exception. Angle and Shane battled all the way around the arena, climaxing on the entrance ramp. There, Angle attempted to suplex Shane through a pane of glass for several minutes, repeatedly dropping the poor guy directly on his head.

He then put Shane's body on an A/V cart is if it were a gurney, before wheeling it to the ring to obliterate the corpse with a top-rope Angle Slam. Don't try this at home, indeed.
